Danny Crates is a renowned keynote speaker, event host, published author, TV presenter, and owner of 1404 Performance, a high-performance coaching business. He is also a personal performance and career development coach.
Before his accident in 1994, Danny was on the path to a career in sport, representing Essex and the Eastern counties of England in rugby. Losing his right arm in a car crash did not dampen his spirit, and he was back playing full-contact rugby within a year. He then qualified as a scuba diving instructor, working on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and later as a shark display diver, a highlight of his presentations.
Danny gained recognition for his talents on the track. Over 12 years, he captured 400m bronze at the Sydney 2000 Paralympics. Not content with bronze, he won 800m gold at the Athens 2004 Paralympics. His Paralympic success included numerous wins at European and World levels. He was honoured to carry the British Flag at the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, leading the ParalympicsGB team.
Danny has also become a leading media personality, notably playing a lead-presenting role during Channel 4’s BAFTA-winning coverage of the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. He continued his media career, working at the 2017 BDO World Darts Championships and as a morning presenter at the World Para Athletics Championships in London.

Since being in Lockdown and working remotely we have being trying to drive our employee engagement and boost morale within the company, we contacted Danny to host a 'virtual' event for all of our International employees.
