Marcus Wareing

Marcus Wareing is one of Britain's most respected and acclaimed Michelin Star chefs and restaurateurs. He is known both for his culinary achievements and his contribution to mentoring the next generation of chefs. With over three decades in the industry, he has earned a Michelin star and helmed some of London’s most celebrated restaurants. His presence on BBC One's popular MasterChef: The Professionals cemented his reputation as a leading figure in the UK’s culinary landscape. Raised in Southport, Marcus began his career in hospitality at 18, working at the Savoy Hotel before gaining experience in kitchens across Europe and the United States. His time working with Gordon Ramsay was formative, culminating in a Michelin star at just 26. He went on to open his own restaurants, including the acclaimed Marcus at The Berkeley and The Gilbert Scott. In 2008, alongside his wife Jane, he founded Marcus Wareing Restaurants, which became synonymous with refined British cuisine. Marcus has adapted and expanded his role over the years, becoming a respected mentor and media personality. His television work, including Tales from a Kitchen Garden, reflects a growing interest in sustainability, farming and food provenance.
