Sairee Chahal

Sairee Chahal is a pioneering entrepreneur and advocate for women's empowerment in the economic landscape. As the founder of SHEROES, a women-only social network that has connected over 22 million women, Sairee has created a platform that fosters community, support, and opportunities for women across various sectors. Her work is centred on increasing women's participation in the economy, believing that the internet is a vital tool for achieving this goal. Sairee's journey began with the co-founding of Fleximoms, a platform aimed at supporting working mothers, which laid the groundwork for her current initiatives. She later co-founded SAITA Consulting, a firm dedicated to supporting small and medium-sized businesses. Her extensive experience includes roles at Heidrick and Struggles and the Confederation of Indian Industry, where she honed her skills in business development and strategy. In addition to SHEROES, Sairee founded Mahila Money, a neobank designed to provide women with access to productive capital, and Appreciate Capital, a venture fund focused on supporting women founders and socially responsible companies. Sairee was recognised as a finalist for the Cartier Women's Initiative Award for her commitment to women's economic empowerment. Sairee is also an Aspen Fellow and actively engages with new businesses and entrepreneurs, sharing her insights through teaching and writing.
