Stuart Broad

Stuart Broad CBE is a former English cricketer who played Test cricket for the England team and captained in One Day and Twenty20 Internationals. He was part of the England squad that won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20. Broad's long career and successful partnership with fast bowler James Anderson have established him as one of England's finest Test bowlers. As of February 2023, Broad and Anderson surpassed Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne to become the top bowling pair, taking a combined 1,009 wickets in 133 Tests. Broad was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2018 and later became a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2024 New Year Honours, both for his contributions to cricket. He holds the record for the most runs scored in the 9 and 10 batting positions in Test cricket. In December 2023, he was the runner-up for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
