Abadesi Osunsade is a professional with a strong background in technology, community building, and social entrepreneurship. Her diverse upbringing in Washington D.C., Lagos, and Manila has shaped her views on inclusivity and global citizenship.
Abadesi started her career in tech at Amazon and Groupon, where she was one of the first employees in London and helped scale her department. She later worked at HotelTonight, which was acquired by Airbnb, and served as the first Global Vice President of Community & Belonging at Brandwatch from 2020 to 2022. During her time there, she significantly increased the number of Black, Middle Eastern, and LatinX employees, focusing on AI ethics and representation.
In 2016, Abadesi founded Hustle Crew, a community promoting diversity in tech through inclusion education for employers. She is also the co-host of the Techish podcast, which discusses topics at the intersection of internet culture and millennial life. Abadesi authored "Dream Big. Hustle Hard: The Millennial Woman’s Guide to Success in Tech," a well-received career guide, and her articles have appeared in Bloomberg and The Financial Times.
With over 15 years of experience as a content creator and public speaker, Abadesi is dedicated to fostering a fair and inclusive future. She has been recognized as one of the most influential people in UK technology by UKtech50 in 2023 and has received numerous accolades, including listings in Computer Weekly’s Most Influential Women in Tech and Financial Times’ Top 100 Influential Leaders in Tech.
Abadesi also serves as a scout for Ada Ventures, is a board member at Goodgym and Art Fund, and is an Acumen Academy fellow and angel investor focused on female founders. Her career reflects a commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity in the tech industry.
