Adam Thomas is a British actor and TV presenter from Manchester, known for his roles in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale and the BBC drama Waterloo Road. He gained recognition at 17 when he played Donte Charles in Waterloo Road from 2006 to 2009, a role he reprised in the show's 2023 revival.
In 2009, Adam joined Emmerdale as Adam Barton, a role he held until 2018. He has also appeared in the BBC drama Casualty and performed in Nativity the Musical at the Empire Theatre in 2018. In 2016, he participated in the 16th series of ITV's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, finishing in third place. He later co-hosted the spin-off I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp in 2019.
In 2020, Adam starred in the ITV series Absolutely India: Mancs in Mumbai alongside his brothers Ryan and Scott and their late father Dougie, exploring their Indian heritage. He was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023, finishing in eighth place.
Adam co-hosts the Mancs on the Mic podcast with his brothers, including Ryan Thomas, where they discuss childhood memories and personal stories. He also co-hosts the Waterloo Road podcast with co-star Priyasasha Kumari.
In addition to his acting career, Adam is a restaurateur and entrepreneur. His brand, Oh My Glaze, is located in the Trafford Centre and offers a range of hot sauces. He collaborates with several well-known brands, including Gillette, McDonald's, TalkTalk, Fairy, Sainsbury's, and Oreo, and serves as an ambassador for Sky.
