Alicia Eastman

Alicia Eastman is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of InterContinental Energy, where she has been instrumental in developing some of the largest green hydrogen projects globally. With nearly 25 years of experience in investment and strategy across various sectors, including renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications, Alicia brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Her focus on infrastructure and sustainability has positioned her as a key player in the transition to green energy, particularly in the Middle East and Asia. Alicia's career began with significant roles in international strategy and acquisitions at Elan Pharmaceuticals and as Vice President of Prudential Asia Infrastructure Mezzanine Capital Fund. She was also a founding partner of Asia Pacific Capital Fund II and the Mongolia Opportunities Fund, showcasing her expertise in managing private equity funds and market entry strategies for multinational companies. Her academic credentials include a B.Sc. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. In addition to her role at InterContinental Energy, Alicia co-hosts the podcast Everything About Hydrogen and serves on the McKinsey & Company Sustainability Advisory Council. The UN ECE has recognised her as a hydrogen expert, contributing to the development of best practices in renewable hydrogen.
