Darran Griffiths is a comedian, host, and podcaster. He grew up in Harlow to Jamaican parents, which has influenced his comedic style. Darran has performed at notable comedy clubs in London, including The Comedy Store, Top Secret, and the Hackney Empire. He has supported well-known comics such as Russell Howard, Iain Stirling, and Judi Love. In 2022, he reached the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedy Award and British Comedian of the Year.
His television and radio credits include appearances on BBC Three, BBC London, and Times Radio. He also presented a weekly radio show called the Saturday Morning Hangover on Pulse88 FM. Darran has been the tour support for BBC Radio's Aurie Styla and participated in the national WAHALA Tour: Jamaica vs Africa, alongside Kojo Anim.
Darran hosts a weekly podcast, Griff's Brain Dump, where he shares insights on his life and current events. In 2023, he launched Late Nights & Wet Wipes, a parenthood podcast co-hosted with fellow comedians Kazeem Jamal and Michael Akadiri. His debut show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 'Inconceivable', was recognised as a must-see by The Sun and the Edinburgh Evening News. To date, he has already appeared on television and radio, including Yanga TV, Pulse88 FM and BBC Radio. Also he has performed at some of the top comedy clubs including Downstairs at the King’s Head and the Comedy Store as well as the Hackney Empire and the Indigo at the O2.
He has been tour support of BBC Radio’s Aurie Styla and part of the national WAHALA Tour: Jamaica vs Africa, with Britain’s Got Talents Kojo Anim. He's also opened for Russell Howard, Judi Love, Simon Brodkin, Iain Stirling and Travis Jay. He has also shared the stage with Alan Carr, Stephen K Amos, Mo Gilligan and many more.
