Ed Balls is well-known for his various roles within the UK government. He is a relevant and insightful keynote speaker with his extensive political history and expertise in financial markets, the global economy, and Britain's future. In 2016, Ed made his dancing debut on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing, earning national praise for his determination and perseverance, an experience he shares on the speaking circuit. Ed held several high-profile cabinet positions, including UK Shadow Chancellor from 2011 to 2015 and Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families from 2007 to 2010. He served as UK Economic Secretary and Minister for Financial Services from 2006 to 2007 and was Chief Economic Adviser to the UK Treasury from 1997 to 2004. He chaired the International Monetary Fund Deputies and was the UK G20 Deputy during this time. Although no longer in Westminster, Ed remains an economist and British Labour Party politician. He is a Senior Fellow at Harvard University Kennedy School's Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government and a Visiting Professor at the Policy Institute at King’s College London. He actively blogs and writes speeches on current economic issues. Ed is married to Yvette Cooper MP, and they have three children. He is also the club chairman of Norwich City, a member of the Privy Council, and an Honorary Fellow of Keble College, Oxford. With his extensive public sector experience and economic expertise, Ed Balls is an ideal choice for the corporate speaking circuit.
