Gain insight into geopolitics and economic transformation with Mr. Esko Aho, former Prime Minister of Finland. Mr. Aho advises organisations on technology innovation, economic disruption, and decision making, drawing on his background at Nokia, Harvard, and JPMorgan.

Mr. Esko Aho steered Finland through one of its most consequential periods, guiding the country into the European Union while managing a severe economic recession as Prime Minister.
Mr. Aho served as a Member of the Finnish Parliament from 1983 to 2003, led the Centre Party from 1990 to 2002, and held the office of Prime Minister of Finland from 1991 to 1995. He later became President of the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra before joining Nokia Corporation as Executive Vice President of Corporate Relations and Responsibility. He served on its Executive Board until 2012.
Mr. Aho went on to chair the Board at the East Office of Finnish Industries and the Board of Cinia Oy, and was an elected member of the Executive Board of the International Chamber of Commerce. It was here he chaired the Policy and Commissions Committee for four years. He also served on JPMorgan's Advisory Council for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and currently chairs the Board at the China Office of Finnish Industries.
Active in academia, Mr. Aho has been a Senior Fellow at Harvard University, an Executive in Residence at Aalto University, and held a Visiting Professorship at Sciences Po in Paris. He holds honorary doctorates from the University of Vaasa and the University of Alberta and has published fifteen books under the Verbatum label, eight of which he authored himself.
Today, Mr. Aho is an invited member of the Club de Madrid, an independent organisation composed of former heads of state and government committed to promoting democracy worldwide.
This breadth of experience, spanning government, global business, and academia, gives Mr. Aho a grounded perspective on how institutions actually change. In his keynotes, he draws on this record to speak on geopolitics, technology innovation, and the economy, alongside risk and decision-making at the highest levels. Audiences leave with a clearer understanding of how political and demographic shifts shape business environments.
Few speakers can move between a prime minister's office, a global boardroom, and a Harvard fellowship with equal credibility. Mr. Aho brings all three perspectives to every engagement.

No. PepTalk adds no booking fee, so you pay the speaker's fee and nothing beyond it. The service, from shortlist through to contracts and event-day logistics, is included. For repeat or multi-event bookings, PepTalk can agree preferential rates with your procurement team.
Share your event date, audience, format, objectives and budget, and PepTalk sends a hand-picked shortlist within 24 hours. Each suggestion comes with a profile, a fee and a recommendation on the strongest fit. Once you choose, PepTalk handles contracts, travel and logistics through to event day.
The typical fee range is the speaker's standard in-person fee in their home market, shown in their local currency. It moves with format, location, date and session length: virtual sessions and shorter slots usually cost less, while international travel and peak dates cost more. Send your brief to PepTalk and the team will confirm the exact fee in your currency.
Not all of them, and it makes no difference to your booking. PepTalk's network of 15,000+ speakers covers talent the team works with directly alongside speakers represented by agents and agencies worldwide. PepTalk approaches the speaker, negotiates the fee and handles contracting either way.
Three to six months ahead is comfortable for most events, and 12 months is better for large conferences, peak-season dates or one specific in-demand speaker. Shorter timelines are workable, and PepTalk regularly fills last-minute and replacement bookings within days. Availability is the constraint, so get in touch as soon as you have a date.
