Isma Almas is a comedian known for her unique perspective as a British Muslim woman. Born in Bradford and raised between Pakistan and Yorkshire, her comedy reflects her multicultural background. Isma regularly performs across the UK, including solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Barbican Centre for Stonewall, and Bradford's Literature Festival. Isma has received recognition in the comedy scene, winning The First Laugh at the Sheffield Comedy Festival and reaching the semi-finals of So You Think You’re Funny, as well as the finals of Funny Women. She co-presented the mid-morning show on BBC Radio Leeds for six months, where she interviewed various notable figures. Isma holds a degree in Social Sciences and Social Work. Before her comedy career, she worked in a forensic unit for individuals with significant mental health issues and managed independent fostering agencies.
