Patrick Kielty is a famous Irish comedian. He manages to mix satire with charm in his daring routines, making audiences up and down the country laugh. Known also for his presenting skills, Patrick has hosted various television and radio shows, cementing his name in showbiz. Patrick's experience and talents make him a formidable awards host, comedian, presenter, and interviewer. From stand-up comedy to television presenting, this Irish comic is also busy on the corporate circuit, presenting at awards dinners and providing cabaret. Patrick's Irish break was hosting his live show, PK Tonight, which won him an RTS Award for Best Regional Presenter. His first network prime-time show followed, hosting After The Break on BBC1, but the Channel 4 show Last Chance Lottery made him a household name, which he followed with The National Lottery Big Ticket (BBC1). His extremely successful chat show Patrick Kielty Almost Live (Green Inc. Prods) enjoyed five series on BBC1. Patrick went on to front a new quiz show, Stupid Punts (CHX Prods), aired on BBC Choice and BBC2. In 2002, he co-presented BBC1's Fame Academy (Endemol) with Cat Deeley. The duo have also hosted 2 series of Celebrity Fame Academy in aid of Comic Relief! Patrick co-presented the first series of the hugely popular Celebrity Love Island for ITV with Kelly Brook and the second with Fearne Cotton. In 2007, Patrick interviewed Tony Blair and Bertie Ahern about the Northern Ireland Peace Process. In the same year, he starred in the West End play A Night In November at the Trafalgar Studios and participated in the BBC's Live At The Apollo. Patrick took on the radio host and presenter role in 2009 by sitting in for Alan Carr on his BBC Radio 2 Show. He participated in Sport Relief 2010 and appeared on The One Show to promote his incredible bike ride across the UK. In 2010, he appeared on Channel 4's Comedy Gala, Mock The Week, and Sharon Osbourne: A Comedy Roast. He worked with Radio 2 in 2013 and 2014, broadcasting music specials across the pond. Patrick's stand-up tour 'Help' debuted in Belfast's Grand Opera House in early 2016, to both audience and critical acclaim. Recently, Patrick completed an 80-date tour of his critically acclaimed stand-up show Borderline across the UK and Ireland. His BAFTA-nominated My Dad, The Peace Deal and Me saw Patrick named UK documentary host of the year at the 2018 Grierson Awards, while his most recent film, Patrick Kielty: 100 Years of Union, also won an RTS award for best presenter. 2023 saw the release of his first feature film, Ballywalter, where he plays the role of Shane alongside IFTA nominated Seána Kerslake. Patrick hosts a popular BBC radio show on BBC 5Live every Saturday morning, and in 2025, he will perform additional dates for his sold-out stand-up tour, Borderline. He was recently announced as the new presenter of the legendary Late Late Show in Dublin, an iconic Irish institution and the longest-running live talk show globally. How do I book a speaker with PepTalk?

Booking a speaker with PepTalk starts with a short brief: your event, audience, date, budget, and format. Send it through getapeptalk.com or hello@getapeptalk.com and you'll get a shortlist within 24 hours. Once you choose, PepTalk handles contracts, fees, travel, and logistics end to end.

I need a last-minute speaker. Can PepTalk help?

How much does it cost to book a speaker through PepTalk?

Speaker fees vary by profile, format, and location. In the UK and Europe, virtual keynotes typically start around GBP 2,000, with top in-person speakers reaching GBP 25,000+; in the US, fees run from about USD 5,000 to USD 100,000+. Share your budget at getapeptalk.com and we'll shortlist to fit.

Can I book a speaker who isn't listed on the PepTalk website?

Speaker fees vary based on factors like event location, format, and availability. The 'typical fee range' figure gives you a baseline of someone's local, in-person rate sits, and we'll confirm the exact fee when you get in touch.

What logistics should I prepare before my speakers arrive?

Before your speakers arrive, confirm AV is tested, a green room is ready, and printed schedules are on hand. Prepare warm introductions for each speaker and brief your team on timings. PepTalk speakers come fully briefed, making event-day logistics smoother and stress-free from the start.

What's the difference between a keynote speaker, an MC, and event entertainment?

A keynote speaker delivers an inspiring or informative talk. An MC hosts and guides the event, keeping things on track. Entertainment — like a band or comedian — creates atmosphere and fun. Each serves a different purpose, and PepTalk can help you book the right talent for all three.

Have all the speakers on the website previously worked with PepTalk?

Not necessarily. While the speakers listed on our website may not have worked with PepTalk in the past, they are recognized professionals in the industry and known to engage in similar events and engagements. Alongside direct talent, we work with a wide variety of speaker agents and talent agencies, to ensure we have the best selection of speakers, hosts, comedians and entertainers available.
