At TransActual UK, he influenced UK legislation on trans and non-binary equality, addressed hate crime, and promoted Black Queer intersectionality. As a Trustee and Treasurer at LGBT+ Consortium, he supports community organisations with grant funding and represents their interests at the London Assembly and Healthcare Committee. Rico was a semi-finalist on Channel 4's Make Me Prime Minister, where he was recognised for his integrity and compassion by Baroness Sayeeda Warsi. He also contributed to the #16thCentury Trans Rights Campaign for UK Black Pride. As a respected speaker on intersectionality and trans/non-binary equality, he shares his insights at conferences and events worldwide.
