Angela Saini

Angela Saini is a British science journalist, broadcaster, and author whose work explores the intersection of science and society, particularly in relation to marginalised groups. With a career spanning over a decade, she has established herself as a prominent voice in the field, contributing to esteemed publications such as The Guardian, New Scientist, and Wired UK. Her latest book, The Patriarchs: The Origins of Inequality, was a finalist for the George Orwell Prize for Political Writing, further solidifying her reputation as a thought leader. Angela's journey began with a news trainee scheme at ITN, after which she joined the BBC as a reporter. Her investigative work has garnered significant recognition, including a Prix Circom European television news award for her six-month investigation into bogus universities. She has also received multiple accolades for her documentaries, including the Kavli Science Journalism gold award from the American Association for the Advancement of Science for a BBC Radio 4 documentary on birdsong and human language.
