Punam Krishan

Dr Punam Krishan is a practising NHS GP and a popular media personality based in Glasgow, Scotland. As resident doctor on the popular daytime show BBC Morning Live and a contributor to BBC Radio Scotland's Phone In Surgery, she addresses a wide range of health and lifestyle topics, making medical information accessible to the public. Punam's journey has been shaped by her experiences as a mother of two young children, which has fostered her specialist interest in maternal and family health, as well as mental health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she co-founded The Medic Mum Podcast with a fellow GP mother, aiming to provide parents with straightforward, relatable health advice. This initiative resonated with many, leading to the podcast being shortlisted for Best Podcast at the Glomama Awards.
