Kriss Akabusi MBE is a three-time Olympic medallist, World, European, and Commonwealth champion, and qualified coach who helps teams commit to their goals, clear obstacles, and perform together.
His greatest individual moment came at the 1990 European Championships, where he won 400m hurdles gold and broke David Hemery's 22-year-old British record. A year later he helped Great Britain beat the United States to 4x400m relay gold at the World Championships in Tokyo, and in 1992 he was awarded an MBE for services to athletics.
After athletics, Kriss presented Channel 4's The Big Breakfast and co-presented the BBC's Record Breakers, and he's still a regular voice on radio and television, talking about sport, business, and personal development. He completed an MBA programme at Ashridge Business School, qualified as a personal coach at the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara, holds a Masters in existential coaching, and is a certified Motivational Maps and Clarity 4D practitioner. He builds those tools into his keynotes and workshops. He also founded The Akabusi Charitable Trust, which supports development in Nigerian communities.
