Lucy Siegle

Lucy Siegle is a journalist, broadcaster, and sustainability advocate specialising in climate, nature, and the environmental impact of consumerism. As a presenter on BBC One’s The One Show and co-executive producer of the Netflix documentary The True Cost, Lucy has built a reputation for making ecological issues more accessible and encouraging action. Her focus includes the environmental and social footprint of the global fashion industry and the widespread problem of single-use plastics. Lucy’s interest in sustainability developed through years of reporting on the challenges posed by fast fashion, plastic pollution, and corporate greenwashing. Her book To Die For: Is Fashion Wearing Out the World? served as the foundation for The True Cost, a documentary that exposed the social and environmental consequences of the fashion industry.
