Martin Brundle may be best known as the voice of Formula 1, thanks to an award-winning broadcasting career spanning over two decades, but his accomplishments extend far beyond the commentary box. A former Formula 1 driver and World Sports Car Champion, Martin has also held influential roles as Chairman of the British Racing Drivers' Club and the Grand Prix Drivers' Association. His vast experience on and off the track and his natural storytelling ability make him one of motorsport’s most compelling speakers.
Martin's journey began at the age of 12 when he raced a home-built grass track car, and by 19, he was managing the family’s motor franchise business. Racing remained a constant in his life, and after achieving success in touring cars, he partnered with the legendary Sir Stirling Moss. In 1983, Martin made the pivotal move into single-seater racing, joining Eddie Jordan Racing to compete in the British Formula 3 Championship, where he faced off against the formidable Ayrton Senna. This fierce rivalry led both drivers to graduate to Formula 1 in 1984.
Over his Formula 1 career, Martin raced for teams such as Tyrrell, Brabham, Benetton, Ligier, McLaren, and Jordan, achieving podium finishes and notable successes, including partnering Michael Schumacher at Benetton. Outside of F1, he excelled in sports car racing, claiming the 1988 World Sportscar Championship title for Jaguar and winning prestigious events like the Daytona 24 Hours and Le Mans 24 Hours.
In 1997, Martin transitioned seamlessly into broadcasting, joining ITV alongside Murray Walker. His expertise and charisma made him a fan favourite, and after stints at the BBC, he joined Sky Sports F1 in 2012, where his grid walks and interviews have become iconic.
With six Royal Television Society awards and four BAFTAs, Martin's contributions to motorsport broadcasting are unparalleled. He remains a captivating speaker off the track, drawing from his wealth of experience in racing, business, and broadcasting.

No. PepTalk adds no booking fee, so you pay the speaker's fee and nothing beyond it. The service, from shortlist through to contracts and event-day logistics, is included. For repeat or multi-event bookings, PepTalk can agree preferential rates with your procurement team.
Share your event date, audience, format, objectives and budget, and PepTalk sends a hand-picked shortlist within 24 hours. Each suggestion comes with a profile, a fee and a recommendation on the strongest fit. Once you choose, PepTalk handles contracts, travel and logistics through to event day.
The typical fee range is the speaker's standard in-person fee in their home market, shown in their local currency. It moves with format, location, date and session length: virtual sessions and shorter slots usually cost less, while international travel and peak dates cost more. Send your brief to PepTalk and the team will confirm the exact fee in your currency.
Not all of them, and it makes no difference to your booking. PepTalk's network of 15,000+ speakers covers talent the team works with directly alongside speakers represented by agents and agencies worldwide. PepTalk approaches the speaker, negotiates the fee and handles contracting either way.
Three to six months ahead is comfortable for most events, and 12 months is better for large conferences, peak-season dates or one specific in-demand speaker. Shorter timelines are workable, and PepTalk regularly fills last-minute and replacement bookings within days. Availability is the constraint, so get in touch as soon as you have a date.
