Richard Bacon is a broadcaster, journalist, author, and format creator. He began his career on Blue Peter before moving into broadcasting, where he hosted The Big Breakfast for Channel 4, Good Morning Britain, and various radio shows, including BBC 6 Music, Capital FM, XFM, and Radio 5 Live. His coverage of the 7/7 London Underground bombings earned Capital Radio the Sony Radio Gold award for breaking news. Richard has contributed to publications such as Esquire and The Sun, and his debut book, A Series of Unrelated Events, was published in 2013. He has also made appearances as himself in The Thick Of It and The Dog Thrower. In 2016, he relocated to the US and hosted National Geographic's Explorer, a current affairs and talk show hybrid that reached 170 countries. Recently, Richard has developed new entertainment formats, including The Hustler, This Is My House, and I Literally Just Told You, which have been sold globally.
