Sean Fletcher is a journalist with a mixed British-Zimbabwean heritage and dual nationality in the UK and the USA. He is bilingual in English and Welsh, which enhances his ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Sean's career began at BBC Radio 4’s Late Tackle programme and Radio 5 Live, before he moved to Cardiff to produce content for BBC One, BBC Two Wales, and BBC Radio Wales. He later worked on BBC 2W and reported on sports for BBC Wales Today. In 2005, he presented sports bulletins on the BBC News Channel and contributed to BBC Weekend News, BBC Breakfast, and BBC World. He also served as a news reporter and presenter for BBC London News.
From 2011 to 2014, Sean worked at Sky Sports News before joining ITV as a sports newsreader on Good Morning Britain, where he has been a co-presenter since 2020. He also hosted two seasons of the ITV game show Rebound. Since 2015, he has reported for BBC One’s Countryfile and presented Sunday Morning Live and Inside Out London until its conclusion in 2021.
Sean's other television credits include co-presenting Food Detectives and Britain’s Classroom Heroes for BBC Two, reporting on child mental health for Panorama, and covering significant national events. He has presented Welsh-language programmes such as Evacuees and Riots In the Bay for S4C.
He raised £30,000 for Beating Bowel Cancer by winning ITV’s All Star Mr & Mrs with his wife and won an episode of Celebrity Mastermind with Sesame Street as his specialist subject. In 2020, he made his acting debut in BBC drama Keeping Faith.
