Sebastian Vettel is a four-time World Drivers’ Champion and one of the most successful drivers in Formula 1 history. He holds numerous records, including being the youngest world champion at 23 years and 133 days. He also ranks third for the most victories in the sport.
Sebastian's F1 career began when he became the youngest driver to participate in a Grand Prix weekend and the youngest to score a World Championship point during his debut with BMW Sauber at the 2007 US Grand Prix. He joined Scuderia Toro Rosso in July 2007 and made history at the 2008 Italian Grand Prix, becoming the youngest driver to win a Grand Prix. In 2009, he moved to Red Bull Racing.
In 2010, Sebastian won his first championship title, achieving five wins and ten pole positions. His victory at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix made him the history's youngest World Drivers' Champion. He followed this success with a second championship in 2011, securing eleven wins and a record fifteen pole positions. He completed a hat-trick of titles in 2012, joining the ranks of legends like Sir Jackie Stewart and Ayrton Senna.
Sebastian's 2013 season was remarkable. He won thirteen races, including nine consecutive victories, equalling the record set by Alberto Ascari. This success led to his fourth consecutive World Drivers’ Championship title, solidifying his status as a quadruple world champion.
In 2015, he joined Ferrari, winning fourteen Grand Prix races and finishing second in the World Championship in 2017 and 2018. He concluded his Formula 1 career with Aston Martin, racing for the team until 2022.
Beyond racing, Sebastian advocates ecological transformation and has used his platform to promote social justice and environmental issues. To support biodiversity, he has worked with children to create a flower meadow for insects at the Austrian Grand Prix. Through his ‘Buzzin’ Corner’ initiative, he established an insect hotel at the Japanese Grand Prix and campaigned for environmental protection.
His ‘Race without Trace’ project, showcased at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed and Red Bull Formula Nürburgring event, illustrates how F1 cars can operate with minimal environmental impact using sustainably produced fuel.
