Sophie Morgan

Sophie Morgan is a pioneering television presenter, producer, and disability advocate, who has transformed the media landscape by championing authentic representation of disabled talent. Known for fronting major programs like the Paralympics, Channel 4’s Living Wild, and ITV’s Loose Women, Sophie’s work has redefined on-screen narratives around disability, bringing both visibility and respect to underrepresented voices. At 18, Sophie’s life changed dramatically following a car accident that left her paraplegic. Faced with the daunting challenge of rebuilding her future, she not only persevered but also turned her experiences into a platform for advocacy. Today, she is among the few female television presenters globally with a physical disability, a distinction that has empowered her to drive important social change across media and beyond. Sophie’s commitment to disability rights extends beyond the screen. She co-founded Making Space Media, a production company dedicated to amplifying disabled voices, in partnership with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine. Her advocacy includes launching the Rights On Flights campaign, which pushes for greater accountability from airlines regarding the treatment of disabled passengers—a cause that has taken her from the UK Parliament to the White House. Recognised as one of the UK’s top 10 most influential disabled people, Sophie serves on advisory boards for organisations like Human Rights Watch and is a patron of charities including Scope and Back Up. She is also a global ambassador for brands like Can-Am, PADI, and Airbnb, and contributes a monthly column to Condé Nast Traveller. Her memoir, Driving Forwards, chronicles her journey of resilience and reinvention, offering inspiration to a global audience.
