Briony May Williams is a television presenter and broadcaster who came to national attention on the 2018 series of The Great British Bake Off, reaching the semi-final.
She is now one of the presenters of Escape To The Country on BBC One and an expert on Morning Live. Her other credits include Food Unwrapped, Would I Lie To You?, Celebrity Mastermind, The Last Leg, and House Of Games. She co-hosts the parenting podcast I'm Not Judging But, and has guest-hosted on BBC Radio Bristol. Her debut cookbook, The Retro Recipe Society, was published in 2025.
Briony was named on the Shaw Trust's Disability Power 100 list of the UK's most influential disabled people in both 2021 and 2022, and is an ambassador for Reach, Bristol Mind, and Paul's Place. Before television, she studied Spanish and French at Durham University and qualified as a secondary school teacher, earning her PGCE at the University of Bristol. That teaching background shows in how she handles a room.
Audiences hear how she has built a broadcasting career while representing disability on mainstream television, what changes when a disabled presenter is simply doing the job rather than discussing it, and how humour makes difficult subjects land.
Briony works well for events on disability inclusion, representation in media, and building confidence in front of an audience, and she is an experienced host.
Briony combines a national television profile with genuine warmth and wit in front of a crowd, making her equally at home delivering a keynote or hosting live. She brings a personal, first-hand perspective to conversations on disability representation and inclusion, making the subject accessible and memorable for any audience.

No. PepTalk adds no booking fee, so you pay the speaker's fee and nothing beyond it. The service, from shortlist through to contracts and event-day logistics, is included. For repeat or multi-event bookings, PepTalk can agree preferential rates with your procurement team.
Share your event date, audience, format, objectives and budget, and PepTalk sends a hand-picked shortlist within 24 hours. Each suggestion comes with a profile, a fee and a recommendation on the strongest fit. Once you choose, PepTalk handles contracts, travel and logistics through to event day.
The typical fee range is the speaker's standard in-person fee in their home market, shown in their local currency. It moves with format, location, date and session length: virtual sessions and shorter slots usually cost less, while international travel and peak dates cost more. Send your brief to PepTalk and the team will confirm the exact fee in your currency.
Not all of them, and it makes no difference to your booking. PepTalk's network of 15,000+ speakers covers talent the team works with directly alongside speakers represented by agents and agencies worldwide. PepTalk approaches the speaker, negotiates the fee and handles contracting either way.
Three to six months ahead is comfortable for most events, and 12 months is better for large conferences, peak-season dates or one specific in-demand speaker. Shorter timelines are workable, and PepTalk regularly fills last-minute and replacement bookings within days. Availability is the constraint, so get in touch as soon as you have a date.
