Dan Bennett, speaker, practitioner and writer, is focused on the creative application of behavioural science to address complex challenges. He leads the Behavioural Science Practice with Rory Sutherland at Ogilvy Consulting UK. A founding member of the practice in 2012, he has worked on over 100 of the world's biggest brands in over 20 countries.
Dan has extensive experience designing products and services, consulting on organisational change, and managing communications across various channels and markets. His work includes developing first-generation technology in Silicon Valley, tackling obesity in Mexico, influencing cleaning habits in Beijing, optimising call centres in India, and enhancing the retail environment in South Africa.
As the leader of the UK practice, Dan has played a key role in expanding the practice across the Ogilvy network. He has spearheaded innovative projects with notable clients such as Spotify, Facebook, Unilever, Nestlé, Public Health England, Gatwick Airport, ITV, The Times, British Airways, Mr Muscle, Diageo, Adobe, the EU Parliament, and Comic Relief. His efforts have earned him several awards, including accolades from the Creative Circle, Cannes Lions, and the Nudge Awards
Dan has spoken in over 20 countries, sharing insights on the potential of behavioural science. His engagements have included prestigious venues such as Harvard University, national security summits, marketing and social media conferences, superyacht congresses, and financial conferences. He has also been instrumental in curating and hosting Nudgestock, the world's largest festival of behavioural science, since its inception 13 years ago.
Dan is dedicated to driving change, working with new economy clients, and applying design thinking and behavioural science in his projects. He is particularly interested in National Geographic's Air Crash Investigation.
