Kai Dahlhaus is a Triathlon World Champion who now teaches leaders and teams to manage energy the way elite athletes manage performance.
Kai went from hobby swimmer to overall Triathlon World Champion in four years while completing a dual degree in economics engineering, training 35 hours a week alongside 35 hours of work and study. Today he is COO and a partner at Swiss Academy and SA-Studios, and co-creator of the Triple Impact Communication Model, developed with** **Simon Hofer. A professor of corporate communication at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts supports the model, which is now funded by the Swiss innovation agency Innosuisse.
Kai turned the same discipline that won him a world title, his own four-step World Champion Formula for managing energy, into a method for leadership communication. He now teaches C-level executives at companies including Kärcher and Carglass how to apply it, and co-hosts Speak Different, Switzerland's most successful private business talk show.
Audiences leave Kai's keynotes with practical techniques for managing energy rather than time, building charisma through communication, and recovering from pressure without losing momentum. His methods are grounded in sport, business, and neuroscience.
Book Kai to give your leaders a world champion's approach to energy, communication, and performance.
Topics, sessions and talks
Kai Dahlhaus progressed from hobby swimmer to overall Triathlon World Champion in just four years, then carried the same mindset into business. He walks audiences through the world champion formula he built to manage energy under pressure, the system that later helped him become a partner and COO of two companies while still racing professionally. Attendees learn how to apply a champion's mindset to their own business goals, whatever their starting point.
Kai Dahlhaus treats energy as the currency that decides who wins, on the race course and in the boardroom. Drawing on his years as a professional triathlete, he shows how elite athletes learn to peak on the days that count, and why the same discipline applies just as directly to business performance. Attendees leave with a practical approach to managing their own energy so they perform at their best when it matters most, without sacrificing their health.
Kai Dahlhaus explores how the way people communicate, with themselves and with others, shapes the energy they carry into a room. He argues that energy, not volume, is what makes a communicator charismatic, motivates a team and drives high performance, a truth professional athletes understand instinctively but business leaders often overlook. Attendees learn practical habits for managing their own energy through communication, building charisma and performance that lasts well beyond a single meeting.
Kai Dahlhaus tackles a habit most leaders get wrong: treating rest as wasted time. He cites a 1,400 percent rise in burnout diagnoses over the past 20 years as evidence that constant output without recovery does not work, then shows how his own World Champion Formula turns short, deliberate breaks into a source of growth rather than lost productivity. Attendees leave with simple ways to build recovery into a demanding schedule without losing momentum or results.
Kai Dahlhaus makes the case that talent has little to do with becoming a great communicator. He points to leaders from Steve Jobs to Barack Obama, most of whom started out as poor, anxious public speakers, to show that communication skill is built rather than born. Kai explains how raising personal energy directly builds charisma and eases the fear of public speaking. Attendees leave with concrete techniques for improving their communication skills starting from wherever they are now.

No. PepTalk adds no booking fee, so you pay the speaker's fee and nothing beyond it. The service, from shortlist through to contracts and event-day logistics, is included. For repeat or multi-event bookings, PepTalk can agree preferential rates with your procurement team.
Share your event date, audience, format, objectives and budget, and PepTalk sends a hand-picked shortlist within 24 hours. Each suggestion comes with a profile, a fee and a recommendation on the strongest fit. Once you choose, PepTalk handles contracts, travel and logistics through to event day.
The typical fee range is the speaker's standard in-person fee in their home market, shown in their local currency. It moves with format, location, date and session length: virtual sessions and shorter slots usually cost less, while international travel and peak dates cost more. Send your brief to PepTalk and the team will confirm the exact fee in your currency.
Not all of them, and it makes no difference to your booking. PepTalk's network of 15,000+ speakers covers talent the team works with directly alongside speakers represented by agents and agencies worldwide. PepTalk approaches the speaker, negotiates the fee and handles contracting either way.
Three to six months ahead is comfortable for most events, and 12 months is better for large conferences, peak-season dates or one specific in-demand speaker. Shorter timelines are workable, and PepTalk regularly fills last-minute and replacement bookings within days. Availability is the constraint, so get in touch as soon as you have a date.
