Nathalie McGloin is the world's only female tetraplegic racing driver, sharing lessons in determination and overcoming adversity with global audiences. As President of the FIA Disability and Accessibility Commission, she has spoken for the United Nations, Red Bull, and Aston Martin F1.
Nathalie McGloin is the world's only tetraplegic racing driver, a world record holder who races against able-bodied competitors in UK motorsport.
Nathalie became the first female with a spinal injury to receive a UK racing licence in 2015. She holds a Guinness World Record as the only female tetraplegic racing driver, and became the first female tetraplegic rally driver. In 2018, three years after entering the sport, she was appointed President of the FIA Disability and Accessibility Commission, the only FIA Commission President with a disability. Nathalie also co-founded Spinal Track, a charity that gives other disabled drivers their first experience on the Silverstone circuit. She has hosted international seminars for the FIA and co-presented on Sky Sports F1.
Having broken her neck in a car crash at 16 and been paralysed from the chest down, Nathalie speaks openly about the emotional and physical challenges of rebuilding a life after injury, drawing on her own journey from that crash to a professional racing career to show audiences how setbacks can be reshaped into sources of purpose and determination.
