Born in Derby and of Indian Punjabi heritage, Preet’s journey has been shaped by a determination to push boundaries. From leaving home at 14 to pursue tennis, to later embarking on ultra-marathons and military service, she has consistently taken paths few expected her to travel. She commissioned into the British Army in 2012 after earning a degree in physiotherapy, becoming the first in her family to complete university education. Her military career saw her complete deployments in Kenya, Nepal and South Sudan, all while nurturing her passion for adventure.
Her expeditions have been record-breaking, culminating in achievements such as becoming the first woman of colour to complete a solo trek across Antarctica and setting the record for the longest unsupported polar journey. Preet was awarded an MBE in 2022 for her services to adventure and inclusion, and also recognised with the Woman of the Year and Inspirational awards at the Women in Defence Awards.
Preet’s story resonates far beyond the world of exploration. She speaks candidly about overcoming cultural expectations, the challenges of funding and training while serving full-time in the Army, and the mental resilience needed to pursue ambitious goals. - Once you've reviewed our speaker propsal and have selected and expert shortlist, we'll double check availability and fees with your chosen expert.
- You're welcome to have a chemistry call with the speaker before making the final decision, too.
- Next, we'll send out contracts to confirm the booking. One of our experienced event producers will liase with both you and the talent on the finer details, and arrange travel if necessary, taking the stress off your plate.

In the US, virtual in-person fees range from $5,000 to over $100,000, depending on the speaker and format, such as after-dinner talks, conference keynotes, Q&As, or podcasts. Comedians generally start at £1,500 or $2,000 for a 20-minute set.
