Princess Sarah Culberson is a humanitarian, author, and cultural educator whose work bridges identity, leadership, and social impact through storytelling, education, and global development. Born in West Virginia and adopted into a white family, Sarah hired a private investigator to trace her roots and learned her biological grandfather is a Paramount Chief in Sierra Leone. Her story of reconnecting with her birth family became the basis for her book A Princess Found, now being adapted into a Disney live-action film. She has appeared on CNN, BBC, and Good Morning America, and she hosts the Modern Royalty Podcast, which explores leadership, service, and responsibility through conversations with global changemakers. Sarah is the co-founder and President of Sierra Leone Rising, a nonprofit she established with her brother to deliver clean drinking water, menstrual health support, education, and digital access across Sierra Leone. Through this work she has supported communities with wells, school infrastructure, technology centers, and programmes designed to keep girls in education.
