Collette Philip runs the multi-award-winning brand agency, Brand By Me.
Brand By Me is THE anti-racist brand consultancy, helping organisations and brands to embed equity and drive social justice.
Collette started her career in advertising, where she spent a decade at top international agencies before moving brand-side. She has worked with, on, and for a breadth of amazing brands for nearly 25 years - from household names to amazing charities, including Starburst, Clearasil, McDonald's, T-Mobile, EE and Barnardo’s children’s charity.
It was her love of brands and fire for justice that led her to launch Brand By Me in 2016. Today Brand By Me are in high demand for their unique approach with clients such as Wellcome Trust, Amnesty International and Santander.
Collette is also a celebrated writer and speaker featured in Third Sector, Campaign, Forbes and on BBC Radio 4. Brand By Me was named a “Small Business of 2021” by Lloyds Bank and The Times. In 2023, Collette was recognised as one of Campaign magazine's "40 over 40" and in 2024, she was named on the Institute of Practitioners of Advertising (IPA) iList, recognising trailblazers in inclusion.
Collette is co-founder of Join Our Table, a community that celebrates and creates visibility of Black women in the communications industries. She is also Chair of Trustees at Abram Wilson, a music charity that inspires, connects and opens doors for minoritised young talent in the music industry.
