5 Ways Being 'Too Kind' Is Holding You Back
Tee Twyford explores how being "too kind" can hinder aspiring leaders. She reveals that well-meaning actions may unintentionally stifle team members, leaving them feeling undervalued or frustrated. Drawing from her experiences and work with global executives, Tee identifies five common "kindness traps" that can derail effective leadership. Attendees will learn actionable strategies to overcome these pitfalls and foster a more empowering environment for their teams.
Reclaiming HUSTLE: Embrace Energy Without Exhaustion
In her session, leadership coach Tee Twyford addresses the negative connotations of HUSTLE, often linked to burnout. She advocates for harnessing high-energy without the exhaustion, emphasising the importance of finding a personal balance between HUSTLE and hush. Attendees will learn to evaluate their current HUSTLE to hush ratio and discover actionable strategies to restore equilibrium, enabling them to embrace positive energy while avoiding fatigue. This approach ensures a sustainable and fulfilling engagement with their ambitions.
How To Master Challenging Feedback Conversations
Tee Twyford, a high-performing leader, faced a humbling revelation during a 360 feedback review: she was perceived as terrible at receiving feedback. This experience ignited her passion for mastering feedback over the past decade. In her talk, Tee will share the six essential "Cs" that can transform challenging feedback conversations. Attendees will learn how to turn feedback into a powerful tool for connection, understanding, and growth, ultimately enhancing their leadership skills.
Why It's Intentional Acts Of Kindness We Need
Tee Twyford emphasises the importance of intentional acts of kindness in the workplace, rather than random gestures. While random acts can be charming, true appreciation requires deliberate actions that resonate with recipients. Many employees leave jobs feeling unappreciated, often due to a lack of meaningful recognition. In her session, Tee will address the three main challenges of workplace appreciation and teach attendees how to implement intentional acts of kindness effectively.
How To Navigate Your First Days In A New Job
Tee Twyford will guide attendees through the emotional challenges of the first 100 days in a new job. With nearly half of UK job seekers contemplating quitting within six months, understanding "shift shock" is crucial. Tee will help participants recognise the common stages of acclimatisation, distinguishing between genuine red flags and normal fluctuations. By exploring the journey from initial enthusiasm to eventual acceptance, attendees will learn how to effectively navigate their emotional rollercoaster and thrive in their new roles.

Tee graced us with her magic at our team away day and the feedback was super positive. The team enjoyed the atmosphere created, the activity itself and a moment to pause and reflect. It was amazing to see so many people open up and be vulnerable with each other; Tee really creates an amazing space to do so. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of team building, mindfulness and connection to themselves and those they work with. Thanks so very much Tee!

Can PepTalk help plan the speaker programme for my event?

Yes. Beyond booking a single speaker, PepTalk helps shape a full programme, matching voices to your agenda, audience, and goals across a day or a series. It is a consultative service, not just a booking. Tell us about your event at getapeptalk.com.

What does 'typical fee range' mean?

Speaker fees vary based on factors like event location, format, and availability. The 'typical fee range' figure gives you a baseline of someone's local, in-person rate sits, and we'll confirm the exact fee when you get in touch.

What logistics should I prepare before my speakers arrive?

Before your speakers arrive, confirm AV is tested, a green room is ready, and printed schedules are on hand. Prepare warm introductions for each speaker and brief your team on timings. PepTalk speakers come fully briefed, making event-day logistics smoother and stress-free from the start.

What's the difference between a keynote speaker, an MC, and event entertainment?

A keynote speaker delivers an inspiring or informative talk. An MC hosts and guides the event, keeping things on track. Entertainment — like a band or comedian — creates atmosphere and fun. Each serves a different purpose, and PepTalk can help you book the right talent for all three.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a speaker booking?

Life happens! Most speaker bookings can be rescheduled with reasonable notice. Cancellation terms vary by speaker, but PepTalk handles all the details & contracts transparently upfront so there are no surprises. Our team supports you through any changes, making the process as smooth as possible.

Have all the speakers on the website previously worked with PepTalk?

Not necessarily. Yes! At PepTalk, you can absolutely bundle entertainment and speakers into one seamless package. It's a great way to create a fuller event experience while enjoying simplified booking and better value. Our team handles everything together, making the process effortless for you.

How far in advance should I book a motivational speaker?

Book a motivational speaker at least 3–6 months in advance, especially for popular speakers or large events. Top speakers get booked quickly, so earlier is always better. For major conferences or peak seasons, booking 12 months ahead ensures you secure your first choice.

Help, I need a last-minute speaker for my event!

No problem! We often handle last-minute requests and can secure or replace a speaker, comedian, awards or event host quickly — almost anywhere in the world. However, speaker availability might be limited as the event date approaches. Email hello@getapeptalk.com with your requirements.
