Sarah-Jane Mee is a television and radio presenter known for her work in news, current affairs, sports, and entertainment. She became the first female lead anchor of Sky News' breakfast show Sunrise and, in 2019, began hosting The Sarah-Jane Mee Show, airing Monday through Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. In 2023, she launched ‘The UK Tonight with Sarah-Jane Mee’, featuring interviews and discussions on key UK news topics.
Sarah-Jane has extensive experience in sports presenting, having hosted Sky Sports’ Premier League Show and the extended highlights programme SNF: Match Choice. She is also a regular live news anchor on Sky News and presents Saturday Night Football each weekend. Her career began as a runner at Sky Sports News, later moving to ITV as a regional sports reporter. She anchored shows like Central Soccer Night and Hancock’s Half Time there.
She was part of ITV Sport’s presenting team for the Boat Race and co-hosted Heart FM’s biggest breakfast show before returning to Sky. At Sky, she hosted Football First and contributed to Champion’s League coverage and Cricket AM. Sarah-Jane has been a key figure in breaking significant news events, including the death of Margaret Thatcher and the Brussels terror attacks.
In addition to her broadcasting work, Sarah-Jane participated in the documentary series Riding the Dales, completing a stage of the Tour de France. She champions women in sport, hosting the Sports Women of the Year awards and the programme What’s the Story?, which discusses major sporting stories.
Sarah-Jane has also hosted Entertainment Week on Sky and contributed to LBC radio. She is a sought-after live event host for various ceremonies and sports events. Recently, she has taken up golf and participated in celebrity tournaments. As an ambassador for Virgin Active gyms, she promotes a healthy body image and completed her first London Marathon in 2015.
