Tim Jenkinson is a leading authority on private equity, initial public offerings, and institutional asset management. Tim is Director of the Oxford Private Equity Institute and co-founder of the Private Equity Research Consortium. He teaches executive courses on private equity, entrepreneurial finance, and valuation and is a sought-after keynote speaker at industry conferences. His research has received numerous accolades, including the 2016 Harry Markowitz Prize from the Journal of Investment Management for his work on private equity, the 2015 Commonfund Prize for the most relevant paper to institutional investors, and the 2014 Brattle Group Prize from the American Finance Association for outstanding research in corporate finance.

Tim joined Saïd Business School in 2000, having worked in the economics department at the University of Oxford since 1987. He studied economics as an undergraduate at Cambridge University and later became a Thouron Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. He returned to the UK to complete a DPhil in Economics at Oxford.
