Vanessa Kingori MBE is a British businesswoman, diversity proponent, youth advocate, and mother. With over 20 years in the media industry, Vanessa focuses on business transformation, digitalisation, and change management in marketing, content creation, and revenue growth.
In 2017, Vanessa made history by becoming British Vogue’s first female business lead and Conde Nast Britain’s first Black Publisher and POC business lead. Her role at British Vogue involved a significant shift in the brand’s purpose, strategy, and revenue streams, emphasising diversity, social responsibility, and female empowerment.
The success of British Vogue’s revenue transformation during her tenure led to her promotion to Chief Business Officer across all Conde Nast Britain brands, including Vogue, GQ, Wired, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Tatler, Conde Nast Traveler, House & Garden, and The World of Interiors. She continues to lead British Vogue and supports the Vogue brand across Europe as Vogue’s European Business Advisor.
Vanessa is a prolific public speaker. FTSE 100 companies frequently request her to share insights on digital transformation, change management, and business purpose. She has spoken at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Cannes Lion, Salesforce’s Dreamforce, and with McKinsey and Google/YouTube.
Vanessa topped Campaign’s Top 10 Trailblazers for 2020 and Top 10 Commercial Chiefs in 2021. For the last decade, she has been listed among the 100 Most Influential Black Britons annually. Her contributions to British media earned her an MBE on the Queen's 90th Birthday Honours List in 2016.
