With a diverse career spanning 25 years, Dan Burgess has significantly contributed as a DJ, facilitator, design researcher, communications strategist, writer, campaigner, co-designer, activist, artist, and learning guide. His journey began in the dance music industry and design research in mobile technology in 1995. A pivotal moment in 2006 led him to focus on climate change, founding Naked Planet at Naked Communications in 2008, one of the UK's first sustainable brand communications practices. Dan completed an MSc in Sustainability and Responsibility in 2010, dedicating the next 12 years to collaborating with brands, NGOs, and various communities to foster sustainable initiatives. He co-founded Good for Nothing, Swarm Partners, The Wild Network, and We Are Ocean, promoting radical collaboration for environmental and social change. Dan has partnered with notable organisations like Nokia, Google, and Patagonia. In 2018, he launched The Spaceship Earth Podcast, and in 2020, he co-authored "Stories for Life," exploring the impact of cultural narratives on human and ecological relationships. Today, Dan focuses on regenerative cultures, creative activism, and climate action, continuing to influence through his podcast, writings, and collaborative efforts.
