Jeremy Snape is a former England cricketer, international coach, and founder of Sporting Edge, a consultancy that focuses on developing a winning mindset in business. Through Sporting Edge, Jeremy has helped numerous SMEs and global brands such as Sky, BMW, KPMG, Société Générale, and AstraZeneca, with their performance challenges, driving measurable change across their organisations.
Jeremy began his cricket career at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club at 16 before moving to Gloucestershire, where he contributed to five trophy wins in three years. Known for his slow spin bowling and batting skills, he made his England debut in 2001 and earned 10 additional caps.
Jeremy's interest in the psychology of success was sparked during a One Day International in India, where he played in front of 120,000 spectators. In 2002, he joined Leicestershire County Cricket Club, where he captained the team and led them to two T20 trophies in 2004 and 2006. He later pursued an MSc in Sports Psychology at Loughborough University, facilitating his transition from player to coach.
Jeremy's coaching career includes roles with Shane Warne’s team in the Indian Premier League and the South African cricket team, which achieved the number-one Test ranking. His growing reputation in fostering winning cultures led to invitations to serve as a non-executive director for the Football League Managers Association, collaborate with England Rugby, and support a Formula 1 team.
He has initiated a research programme called Inside the Mind of Champions®, where he interviews top coaches, athletes, neuroscientists, military leaders, and performance experts. This research has allowed him to distil their insights into practical techniques aimed at enhancing high performance. Jeremy's work continues to influence various fields, demonstrating the importance of mindset in achieving success.
