When it comes to the 100m, Linford Christie is undoubtedly Europe's greatest ever star to grace the track. At the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, while Freddie Mercury showed he had the pipes to compete with Montserrat Caballé, Linford demonstrated that he was in a league of his own by winning gold in the 100m.
Throughout his international career spanning seventeen years, Linford represented his country in over 60 competitions and earned more major championship medals (a staggering 23, in case you were wondering) than any other British sprinter.
Linford holds the distinction of being the only British athlete to have won gold medals in the 100m at all four major competitions, and he was the first European to run a sub-ten-second time.
His fastest time of 9.87 seconds, achieved when he triumphed at the 1993 World Championship in Stuttgart, still stands as the European record.
Even after retiring from athletics, Linford's success has continued in his coaching role, where he has guided numerous top athletes to victory, including Olympic medalists Darren Campbell, Katharine Merry, Mark Lewis Francis, and Commonwealth Gold Medalist Laura Turner.
Linford is not only super quick and super inspirational, but he is also eager to provide the motivation that you might need to achieve your goals.
Linford's unparalleled success on the track, marked by his historic achievements and European record, showcases his mastery in setting and accomplishing lofty goals. His transition from a world-class athlete to a mentor for Olympic medalists demonstrates his exceptional ability to inspire and guide others to greatness. Booking him as a speaker will bring a unique blend of motivation, experience, and proven strategies for success to your team or business.

Linford Christie OBE speaks on high performance, goal setting, and Olympic achievement. No. PepTalk adds no booking fee, so you pay the speaker's fee and nothing beyond it. The service, from shortlist through to contracts and event-day logistics, is included. For repeat or multi-event bookings, PepTalk can agree preferential rates with your procurement team.
Share your event date, audience, format, objectives and budget, and PepTalk sends a hand-picked shortlist within 24 hours. Each suggestion comes with a profile, a fee and a recommendation on the strongest fit. Once you choose, PepTalk handles contracts, travel and logistics through to event day.
The typical fee range is the speaker's standard in-person fee in their home market, shown in their local currency. It moves with format, location, date and session length: virtual sessions and shorter slots usually cost less, while international travel and peak dates cost more. Send your brief to PepTalk and the team will confirm the exact fee in your currency.
Not all of them, and it makes no difference to your booking. PepTalk's network of 15,000+ speakers covers talent the team works with directly alongside speakers represented by agents and agencies worldwide. PepTalk approaches the speaker, negotiates the fee and handles contracting either way.
Three to six months ahead is comfortable for most events, and 12 months is better for large conferences, peak-season dates or one specific in-demand speaker. Shorter timelines are workable, and PepTalk regularly fills last-minute and replacement bookings within days. Availability is the constraint, so get in touch as soon as you have a date.
