Rhiannon Lambert’s reputation as one of the UK’s leading practitioners in the complex field of nutrition science is founded on her enviable record of achievement academically, as a practising nutritionist, as an author, and as a podcast host. Her philosophy, which pervades everything she does, is simple: empower everyone through a proper understanding of the science to embrace a healthy way of living through the food they enjoy and the life they lead.
In 2016 Rhiannon founded Rhitrition, her private clinic in Harley Street. The clinic’s practice is determined by scientific evidence in stark contrast to the jumble of pseudoscience all too often offered in support of the latest dietary fad. She now works with individuals and leading brands - including Deliveroo, Wagamana, Alpro and Yeo Valley- helping them to achieve a healthy lifestyle by changing how and what they eat.
Rhiannon has written five books. Her latest book, The Science of Plant-Based Nutrition (2024), and The Science of Nutrition (2021) were both Sunday Times Bestsellers. In 2019 she co-wrote Top of your Game: Eating for Mind and Body with world snooker champion, Ronnie O’Sullivan. Her other books are Re-Nourish: A Simple Way to Eat Well (2017), her first, and Nutrition & Recipes for Optimal Health from Conception to Parenthood (2022).
In 2018, Rhiannon started her chart-topping ‘Food for Thought’ podcast which offers listeners practical, evidence-based advice on how to achieve a healthier lifestyle. It has proved immensely and enduringly popular, clocking up more than 9 million downloads since 2018. At present, it sits at No 2 in the list of top nutrition podcasts. The success of her podcast is backed up by her presence across social media where she has more than 500,000 followers.
Rhiannon’s standing in the world of nutrition science is the result of a deliberate and radical change of career. Aged 17, Rhiannon had a highly promising career as a classical soprano. Trained at the Royal Academy of Music, she won Classic FM’s Young Musician of the Year but over four years the demanding and unhealthy life of the itinerant performer took its toll, prompting a complete change. Pursuing her interest in nutrition, she enrolled at Roehampton University, graduating with a first-class BSc in Nutrition and Health and an MSc in Obesity Risks and Prevention. She is a Master Practitioner in the Psychological interventions to eating disorders and a Level 3 personal trainer.
