Dr Michael Gervais is a prominent high-performance psychologist and expert on the connection between the mind and human performance. Throughout his career, he has been sought after by leaders in business, sports, the arts, and science to help them achieve exceptional results.
Michael is the founder and host of the "Finding Mastery Podcast" and co-creator of the Performance Science Institute at USC. His work has been featured by major media outlets, including NBC, ABC, CNN, and The Wall Street Journal. He is also the author of "The First Rule of Mastery", a USA Today best-seller.
Previously Michael has collaborated with Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, and his leadership team to develop psychological principles for high-performing teams. He trained over 50,000 Microsoft employees through the Finding Mastery high-performance course and workshops. He also supported Felix Baumgartner during the Red Bull Stratos project, helping him manage his mind and body for a record-setting skydive from 128,000 feet.
As a sport psychology consultant, Michael worked with the Seattle Seahawks for nine seasons, contributing to two Super Bowl appearances, including a victory in 2014. His focus was on helping Head Coach Pete Carroll foster a mindset-based culture. Michael has also supported Team USA at three summer Olympics (Tokyo, Rio, London) and two winter Olympics, aiding athletes in winning over 30 medals.
