Sarah Hoefflin is a professional skier who began skiing at three in Founex, near Geneva. At twelve, she moved to England, where she prioritised her studies. After earning a Bachelor’s in Neurosciences from Cardiff University in 2013, she relocated to France for a ski season. Her passion for park skiing developed quickly, leading to her selection for the Swiss B team in May 2015.
In November 2015, Sarah suffered an ACL injury during training, which sidelined her for what would have been her first World Cup season in 2016. Undeterred, she focused on rehabilitation and made her World Cup debut in 2017, finishing first in the FIS slopestyle ranking and winning her first Crystal Globe.
The 2018 season marked her most successful year, as she continued to push the boundaries of women’s freeskiing while enjoying the sport. In 2019, she made history by becoming the first woman to win the Crystal Globe twice for slopestyle skiing.
Beyond skiing, Sarah enjoys climbing and ski touring in the mountains. She is an ambassador for Protect Our Winters, working to raise awareness about climate change.
