Jonathan Wolf is the co-founder and CEO of ZOE, a personalised nutrition company that is revolutionising the way we understand our health. Through pioneering research, ZOE offers at-home tests that analyse how different foods affect our bodies, based on our unique gut microbiome. Collaborating with leading institutions like Harvard, Stanford, and King’s College London, ZOE runs the world’s largest nutrition science study and uses artificial intelligence to tailor health and nutrition plans that empower individuals to improve their well-being and manage their weight effectively.
Jonathan also co-founded the ZOE Health Study, formerly the ZOE COVID Study, which has become the largest COVID study globally, with over 4.6 million participants. This groundbreaking initiative has produced over 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers in esteemed journals like The Lancet and Nature Medicine. Jonathan's efforts have significantly advanced public health research from developing the first machine learning model to predict COVID from symptoms to discovering links between diet quality and reduced risk of hospitalisation.
Before launching ZOE, Jonathan served as Chief Product Officer at Criteo. This tech company grew from a 30-person start-up to a global NASDAQ-listed firm with over 2,000 employees and more than $1 billion in revenue. He was pivotal in building the product organisation, expanding the company into new markets, and opening the New York office. Jonathan’s earlier career includes Yahoo!, Atlas Venture, and the Boston Consulting Group roles.
Jonathan, an Oxford University graduate, was awarded the prestigious Gibbs Prize for Physics and later studied at Harvard. He has also been a Foundation Fellow at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, since 2015. Jonathan’s remarkable career has seen him at the forefront of both technological innovation and scientific discovery, making him an influential voice in health and nutrition today.
